I design to a brief, with your budget in mind, then we obtain final costs from your preferred landscaper, as designing to budget is constrained by building and material costs which change constantly and are beyond my control.

In our first call, we will discuss how you want your garden to look and feel.
Ahead of the call, gather an image of your garden, any images you have seen that have inspired you, an idea of what you’re comfortable spending and when you want to be sat in your garden with a glass of something nice.

How much does garden design cost?
Full service garden design costs 7-12% of your build budget.
My design fees begin from £6500 for courtyards. An average terraced garden design fee is approx £10,500.
The final fee will depend on all the elements and level of management you wish to have.
How much should my build budget be?
A good guide to build costs should be up to 10% of your property value which you can uplift your investment by up to 20%.
These are example figures for build costs, including all landscaping costs such as labor, materials, waste and plants and planting.
A courtyard or small garden build - 50-100m2 - £32,000-£72,000
An average London terrace garden build - 100-250m2 - from £70,000
An acre - 3,500m2-1 acre £135m2 £385,000-£545,000
What is the garden design process?
1. Contact me for a phone consultation.
2. I listen to you and take an in-depth brief.
3. The property is surveyed and measured.
4. I create a concept that I think will work for you.
5. When the concept is approved I move on to design.
6. Design presented, rounds of changes as required.
7. Final design plan files supplied for tender.
8. Selected contractor is contracted to you.
9. During the build I oversee construction.
10. Project completion. Sit and enjoy your garden!
